MSCI Internship – Java Developer

We are currently seeking an Intern – Java Developer to join IT Development team in Beijing.

Title:	Java Developer
Department:	IT Development

Responsibilities:

Work with a small team of developers and business professionals to:

§ Help implement new functionality in our system addressing client demands for large scale processing.

§ Help with the overall design of the application and migration to new UI technologies.

§ Design and develop application functionality within the bluebox service oriented architecture framework.

§ Advise on issues relating to application architecture or technical architecture

Requirements:

§ 1-2 years software development experience

§ 1-2 years experience in object-oriented languages, analysis and design with exposure to UI development.

§ Ability to work well in a team environment

§ Full software lifecycle experience

§ Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

Recommended Qualifications:

§ Strong programming skills in Java

§ Exposure to simulation methodologies and issues related to numerical computations

§ Multi-tiered distributed architecture frameworks

§ Multithreaded, scalable design and development

§ Large-scale software development experience in a team environment

§ Other object-oriented languages such as Smalltalk, C++, or C#

§ Web delivered applications including AJAX, DHTML, CSS, and JavaScript

§ J2EE Application Server Technologies

§ SOAP, Web Services, XML schema/dtd design, XML<->java binding

§ Relational databases, particularly SQL-Server and Oracle

§ Relational storage of objects or XML

§ Eclipse for Java, CVS, SVN

§ Developing software across multiple development sites

§ Product and sales support

§ Application service provider (ASP) software delivery mechanisms
